How fear appears on a Uranian natal chart

Fear is the path to the Dark Side. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering. Yoda

Fear is for many a despicable emotion. Usually, they say, it is a sign of weakness. Fear is a mechanism that exists in the brain of every human being. Fear has not only a negative inhibitory function but also a positive one. A child is afraid of the dark because he does not know what he will find ‘in’ it. It is like being in a wild jungle full of carnivorous animals. Even an adult will be frightened if he suddenly hears the growl of an animal near him. So fear is a defense, it is protection and a survival mechanism. It is the bell of the organism that tells us that we have to protect ourselves to survive, in the real jungle or in the jungle of life.
In Astrology, we talk about the Ascendant while in medicine and psychology we talk about heredity. For example, doctors are looking for heredity for cancer when we know that cancer is not contagious or other diseases. It is a psychogenic disease where fear, sadness, shame, or even guilt “eats away” at us and eventually manifests itself physically. There is a wonderful book by Andreas Moritz called “Cancer is not a disease” and he describes how cancer is ultimately the “bell tolling” of the body before it is wiped out. Sort of like a fever that triggers the immune system.
So, Ascendant shows us what we inherit from our parents and if we take into account the environment (*composed of them) our fears are essentially a matter of what we perceive through family and experiences.
So, we have to find the balance between “crazy and fearless” and ” shitting in his pants”. Like all things in life, to an excessive degree, they can “destroy” you. In Ancient Greece, there were the two brothers “Fovos” meaning fear, and “Demos” meaning terror.

What Uranian says about fear: First of all, we see ASCENDANT & MC. Anxiety and fear, in general, are SA/ZE while what we call “paralyzed by fear” we find as NE/AP=MC. He who fears the future and what it will bring has NE/AP=MC. The NE/AD axis indicates the fear of death. The sensitive point AS/AD=ZE means:  The fear of the person making the first move.
Let’s look at the map of the great Russian novelist Fyodor Mikhaylovich Dostoyevsky. A man with passions, gifts, and great ups and downs in his life. Most of us are familiar with Crime & Punishment, The Possessed, and The Idiot. Real masterpieces. But it was The Brothers Karamazov that helped him find recognition. A book worth reading to understand the great writer’s soul is undoubtedly Notes from the Underground. In this book, he talks about what it is like to be a man on the margins.
Few people know how the great Russian writer escaped execution. He was arrested on 23/4/1849 for a movement against the Tsar. November 16, 1849: Russian writer Fyodor Dostoevsky escapes execution at the last moment. He was convicted of anti-Tsarist propaganda. The execution sentence was commuted to hard labor in Omsk, Siberia. Both the near execution and imprisonment in the Siberian sweatshops had an impact on Dostoevsky.

The Ascendant says:
NE/KR=AS: Loss of position. The fall. Feeling of no pleasure. Contact with people who are permanent without being pleased.
SA/HA=AS: Taking seriously a sick person. Interactions with people who are unhappy or sick.
UR/KR = AS Great enthusiasm within my environment. To be detained by warrant or order.

If we put the NE/AD axis (*fear of death) equals MC. This is interpreted as Change of occupation. Entering a phase of a new way of life and existence. But what is even more fantastic is that if you look at the table on the left you will see SA/VU (* imprisonment) at the first midpoint above. With 5 being SU/HA and 10 being JU/VU and all of this shows imprisonment (*SA/VU), hardship and dirt, and also fear of money (JU/VU).
Let’s take a closer look at the analysis:
SA/VU: The axis of physical restraint and repression. Incarceration. Supervised work. Someone who is expelled. Extreme caution. An older person who has great power and strength. Carmic loss. Supervisor. Guardian. Self-control. Exceptional discipline.
SA/VU=MC: Armed like a lobster. The one who is not easily taken for a sucker. The short-sighted.
SU/HA: The axis of decay in either a literal or metaphorical sense. The ugly body. The mutilated body. A deformity. Weakness of the body. The cold and heavy rains. The raw man-the is primitive. The stinker. A person who is indifferent to his image. The insignificant.
SU/HA=MC: Bad luck. Opportunities fail to come to fruition. Inability to be recognized.
JU/VU: The Axis of Credit. High chances of funding. Optimism and confidence. A karmic journey. A business that is very strong. Great joy. The need to pay. Strong integrity. Great luck. Obsession about getting money. Great self-confidence. Great luck.
JU/VU=MC: A person who is optimistic. Trusting relationships. Good luck.

Thus, through the analysis of the axis of fear, it is clear that the great Russian writer was afraid of imprisonment, hardship, neediness… And sometimes our fears… come true.
Isn’t it really fantastic how Uranian works?
